The winners of the 5th Annual Critics Choice Super Awards have been unveiled and The Penguin led with four wins.
Honoring the most popular and fan-obsessed genres, the Critics Choice Association announced all the winners in television and film.
The HBO series The Penguin won all of the categories in which it was nominated, including Best Superhero Series, Limited Series, or Made-For-TV Movie. Actor Collin Farrell won two awards for his portrayal of The Penguin, taking the Best Actor trophy as well as the Best Villain category. Farrell’s co-star Cristin Millioti took the Best Actress award.
Other shows recognized included Shōgun, The Last of Us, Andor, Severance, and True Detective: Night Country. Actors who also won in the TV categories include Hiroyuki Sanada, Anna Sawai, Pedro Pascal, Jodie Foster, Diego Luna, and Britt Lower.
In the film categories, it was a four-way tie between Deadpool & Wolverine, Dune: Part Two, Mission: Impossible — The Final Reckoning, and Sinners, with two wins each.
Tom Cruise took the Best Actor in an Action Movie Award, while June Squibb won for Best Actress in an Action Movie for Thelma. Florence Pugh won for her work in Thunderbolts* while Michael B. Jordan won for his double role in Sinners.
Other actors who won awards included Hugh Jackman, Demi Moore, Timothée Chalamet, Sophie Thatcher, and Hugh Grant.
