Client: Megan Park – Writer, Director, Executive Producer

Ella Rubin (Until Dawn, The Idea of You) and Amélie Elisabeth Hoeferle (One Mile, Night Swim) have been tapped as the co-leads of Amazon MGM Studios’ Sterling Point, a YA drama series from My Old Ass writer-director Megan Park, LuckyChap and Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage’s Fake Empire.
Sterling Point was created by Park who will also direct and executive producer. Plot details are being kept under wraps but the series is being described as an ensemble drama with comedy and heart about sisterhood, nature vs nurture, complicated family dynamics and grief. It is believed to follow Annie (Rubin) who, along with her twin brother, were raised in New York by their single dad before they find out that their estranged grandfather left them an island on a lake in his will.
Hoeferle will play Ramona, a teen living on the island who was raised by her grandfather.
Park executive produces and co-showruns alongside Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage of Fake Empire. Amazon MGM Studios is the studio. LuckyChap executive produces under its first-look television deal with Amazon MGM Studios, reuniting with Park after the company, led by Tom Ackerley, Josey McNamara and Margot Robbie, produced her breakout hit My Old Ass.
Sterling Point also reunites Rubin with Schwartz and Savage after the actress recurred on Max’s Gossip Girl reboot. The series was executive produced by Schwartz and Savage who had developed and executive produced the original CW drama.
Rubin can be seen starring in Sony Screen Gems’ horror film Until Dawn, adapted from the video game, which opens this Friday, April 25, and in Netflix’s horror movie Fear Street: Prom Queen, dropping May 23. Last year, Rubin had a major role alongside stars Anna Hathaway and Nicholas Galitzine in Amazon’s hit rom-com The Idea Of You. On TV, she also recurred on Hulu’s The Girl from Plainville. Rubin is repped by Paradigm, Kipperman Management and Sloane Offer Weber Dern.
Hoeferle recently wrapped the Paramount feature One Mile and its sequel, One More Mile, opposite Ryan Phillippe. Previously, she starred in the Blumhouse feature Night Swim, as well as Lionsgate’s The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes. She can next be seen in Ari Aster’s A24 feature, Eddington, which will premiere at Cannes. She is repped by Gersh, Affirmative Entertainment, and Jackoway Austen Tyerman.
